My friends lived in a large house on Nassau street. Literally people selling crack outside on the corner. Now that whole area is not ghetto anymore; it’s been pushed back farther towards the strip clubs.

We’ve lost most typical chain fast food restaurants.

The sad part is that most of the OG black communities were along the water when marsh front was considered malaria country and nobody wanted to be there

Even the Old Village

The only one mostly untouched is Snowden. You can see on google maps where there is a ton of development and then a huge gap on the water between Bell Hall Plantation and Longpoint subdivision

Remley’s is almost completely flipped

Even the little side streets of Mathis Ferry are changing.

It’s been quite interesting to see the change over a lifetime here

To your original question, no idea and I’m living it daily

Looked at a rental on Bank street a few week ago over there...$3000/month. This is 40 feet from the front door.

The folks who live near there should sell. They are sitting on half million dollar postage stamp lots.

I’m not sure how old village prices are sustainable. At some point, you’d think people would stop paying 3/4 million for a 1200 sq ft house.
