Most Significant win is Dabo's Career

Oct 24, 2017, 12:35 PM

Most would say the natty, but I think it was the 2008 Vs South Carolina

He doesnt win that game, he doesnt get the job.

Thoughts?

Besides the Natty, beating LSU in the bowl game was the beginning of believing.

LSU 2012
Ohio St 2013
Oklahoma 2014

You could pick any of these... underdogs in all, against blue bloods in all, won them all.

I think it was more the trend of winning these games that set the tone.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

yep...that and 2014 scar game...

Even with all the positive vibes from the LSU and OSU wins, it would have been hard to ignore 6 in a row.

That game changed the momentum and started this incredible 3 year run.

I personally love the 2015 ND game...huge win for the program and Dabo to establish Clemson as a team that will contend for Natty.

Agree with SCAR win as an interim coach.

Then LSU

Where would he be if not given the job at Clemson?

I agree with what most have said, but...

I'm going to go with the home win over Auburn in 2011. Coming off that bad 2010 season, we started 2011 with an sloppy win against Troy (losing at half time), then a way-too-close win over Wofford, then 17th ranked defending champ Auburn comes into Death Valley. We were down 14-0 pretty quick and it looked like we might get run out of the stadium. With FSU and VT looming in the next couple games, it could've gotten ugly pretty fast if we hadn't turned it around, won that game and gained momentum heading into the season which eventually got us our first ACC championship in 20 years.

Not a win but 2012 orange bowl, yeah that one

Probably has a lot to do with where we are today
