If you believe in miracles, here's how we get in the MNC...

Nov 18, 2013, 10:56 AM

Clemson wins out

Auburn beats Alabama
TAMU beats Mizzou
Oregon loses to either Oregon St. or in PAC12 CG
Baylor loses one
Ohio St. loses one

FSU needs to lose to both UF and in the ACCCG (but only if you think they would stay ahead of us with one late loss)

From that point, it's a toss up:

If Auburn wins the SECCG, the two options would likely be Clemson/Auburn, or Auburn/Alabama rematch.

If SCU were to beat Auburn, I think it would be an automatic Clemson/Alabama MNCG...

Now, if you think the polls will penalize more for losing late, then FSU only needs to lose one... if not, they need to lose 2.

I think Baylor and OSU fall behind with one loss.

It's not likely, but that is the only possible way it happens.

that's why I said FSU has to lose to UF and ACCCG...

Nov 18, 2013, 11:00 AM

but... the polls have done stranger things before

I think our only chance is a FSU rematch scenario. FSU is

A loss to Florida or Duke in the ACCCG....

Nov 18, 2013, 11:03 AM [ in reply to We're not jumping a one-loss FSU. Forgetaboutit...*** ]

and FSU would drop like a lead balloon.

I agree with this 100%...

I think Clemson gets in over a one loss FSU team, considering who they have left lose to

They would not drop far, and would still be above Clemson.

I could agree with you ...

Nov 18, 2013, 11:37 AM

but then we'd both be wrong ;)

basically....

if the options are AU/Bama rematch... or put Clemson in

but in that case FSU needs to lose twice, unless you think they get punished for losing late

You're a dreamer-i like that!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If FSU loses late they will get blasted in the polls IMO...

Nov 18, 2013, 11:10 AM [ in reply to basically.... ]

because the loss would come to either a very low ranked oppoent (i.e. Duke) or a totally unranked opponent (i.e., Florida, Virginia Tech or Georgia Tech).

That certainly took some cogitatiing to bring it to life...

...if we could get that in a cartoon sequence, I would be better with it.

Easier road to FSU/CU rematch...but one major catch

Nov 18, 2013, 11:09 AM

You have to pull for SCar to win the SEC...

Alabama beats Auburn
Mich State beats OSU
Baylor loss
UCLA beats Oregon
TAMU beats Missouri
Scar beats Alabama

You could argue a one loss Bama would be ahead of us, but a loss in the last week of the season would make it very hard to put them in the MNC game for their very next game.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think it's easier to jump FSU who losses to UF or ACCCG

Nov 18, 2013, 11:10 AM

than to jump a one loss BAMA who loses to SCU

The Coots winning the SEC is key to the scenario***
