CU roster versus USuC Roster

Nov 28, 2016, 3:09 PM

CU: 87 freshmen or sophomores out of 117 players.

USuC 77 freshmen or sophomores out of 116 players.

Accroding to each school's official website.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

More importantly here is who is playing

Nov 29, 2016, 6:59 AM

Here are the number of Freshmen and Sophomores on the 2 team for each team:
Clemson Offense 13
Coots Offense 13

Clemson Defense 14
Coots Defense 6

Percentage of Freshman and Sophomores of each team that makes the 2 deep:
Clemson 61%
Coots 43%

To add to your numbers here is a break down from just the starters of each team:

Clemson Offense: 1 FR., 3 So., 5 Jr, 2 Sr
Carolina Off: 3 Fr., 5 So., 2 Jr, 1 Sr

Clemson D: 2 Fr., 3 So., 2 Jr, 4 Sr.
Carolina D: 0 Fr., 2 So., 4 Jr, 5 Sr.

Clemson is most likely having to replace 10 players for next season
Carolina is most likely having to replace 6 players for next season

Maybe their offense will be slightly improved next season, but our defense has replacements stacked and ready. Just plug in Pagano or Huggins, Lamar, Williams, C.Smith and R.Smith at LB, T. Mullen, M. Fields, M. Edmonds at CB, and I.Simmons, K. Wallace, or K. Wiggins at Safety.

Their defense is losing 5 players, all of which are in the front 7. 3 DL and 2 LB. Our offense has automatic replacements stacked up and ready, except the unknown of QB. We have D. Cain, Ray Ray, Thompson, Powell, Overton, Higgins, Rodgers ALL at WR. Then C. Fuller, Feaster, Choice, and Dye at RB. AND fairly confident that KB2 could run a read option on their "swiss cheese" of a defense next year and still score 40+.

I mean come ON!!! Plethora is the word that comes to mind!! Go Tigers!! WE TOO DEEP!!!

Bottom line, I trust our new starters over their returning

True. But it all comes down to the incredible job recruiting and coaching everyone in the program has done. We have so much talent, and if you look at the roster out of the 85 scholarships we are allowed, approximately 59% of the players have been able to redshirt to develop them.

HUGE difference

Our youngins are 4/5* guys who are getting some PT playing behind future NFL players. Their youngins are 3* dweebs starting and getting their teeth kicked in.

Wait... wut?
