It's actually surprising to me because I can remember a whole bunch of times he's sent a pinch hitter up there to strike out at the end of close games yet we still overcome it.
The same thing happened tonight. He PH Fairey for Teo which was weird and we still won

Yes he is. Matchups have been statistically proven over and over. It makes sense sometimes.
I think it depends on who you're pinch hitting for and what the situation is.

I hope this team just gets better every week and doesn’t have that late season drought.
I thought the last two seasons we could do something and then the last month of the year the wheels fell off. Since we have so much depth this season I believe players will be hungry to stay on the field. By the end of the year this Tiger team could be a force.

To your point about depth it really does help everybody stay engaged. I agree it will pay off big time. This year we won’t have to endure cold droughts at the plate from certain guys because we have so many options
