Neutral Site Games

This Saturday feels special for many reasons. The season opener is always special. Playing a national power and an SEC opponent always feels like a big game. But it also feels like a big game because it is in a neutral site in a great venue.

I was surprised to see C

Schedule for strength

I would rather play at Georgia the years we have Carolina at home or workout the seven home games with Ga.

LSU

If we would have gone to the SEC, I would have strongly been for Clemson playing LSU only on netural sites. That way neither LSU or Clemson would have to be the visiting team in Death Valley.

I like the idea of Charlotte hosting a seasonal kick-off

game every year along with a major sponsor(s.) Since the names Pine Tree and/or Tar Heel sound sappy, they could call it the Palmetto Bowl, The Belk Palmetto Bowl or whatever. Have it over Labor Day weekend with three days of planned activities. Using the ACC as the host team, then they should opt for another school with national prominence. If the money is there to make up for lost home game revenue, I'd bet there would be plenty of teams more than happy to provide such a trip for their teams and fans. Imagine a Clemson/Georgia match-up or even a Florida State/Notre Dame game. Frankly, I'm surprised the Richardsons haven't pursued this tooth and nail.

There's always been a rumor that the guy who owns the track in Bristol wants to host a game there between VT and Tenn. Wants to set an attendance record for football. Place holds something like 160,000.

I'd love to see Clemson play in a game there against the Vols or even get a rematch there against WVA.
