RIP. Got to meet him a couple of times at reunions as my father in law played with him at Wyoming. Quite a group of characters on those teams.

Grew up in Miami and my mother worked as a receptionist at Miami Lincoln Mercury dealership. She called me one day and said some of the dolphins were going to be there to sign autographs. I went that afternoon and met Larry Czonka, Jim Kiick, and Paul Warfield. They were great players.

What a backfield!There were two bruisers in Csonka and Kiick along with tiny Mercury Morris who was indeed very fast. The QB Griese while not flashy was very efficient. I realize football has changed, but I would love to see Clemson able to line up under center needing a yard and hand it off to a big back knowing it was almost a given that you would get that yard. Granted, I much prefer our current level of success and high octane offense, but it would be nice to have a Raymond Priester type back around in short yardage situations.RIP-Jim Kiick
