Ok, we played horrible in the Orange Bowl. Enough already. There is a LOT of talent on that side of the ball and I think we hired the best DC available after the season. We saw how Chad could amp up the offense in one year. Why can't Venables do the same on defense?

I say the Venables teaches some technique we were missing last year and implements a simpler and more aggressive game plan. We give up less points this year and score more with a more experienced squad of offense.

What say you Tiger Nation?

I think there is a lot of room for improvement, especially from the LBs. We almost have to be better than last year.

Whenthe ball is snapped. Big plays on deep passes last yr were a result of a bigger problem

We had a terrible defense last year, not just the Orange

Bowl and we lost 3 defensive line starters as well.

The media has every right to bust our chops about our defense, pulling a Clemson and so on, until we stop doing it. I hope it starts this year. If we lose games by playing 60 minutes and every snap as opposed to folding like a lawn chair like we did 4 times last year-I will be convinced that we are not the same old Clemson.
