Finishing in the Top 10 three years in a row, is a major selling point with one of them in the top 5. Some schools haven't finished in the top 5 since Dallas and The Love Boat were hit shows.

Rankings are what matters. It's what writer/coaches from around the country think about you. When WVU beat Clemson in the Orange Bowl, neither team was ranked in the top 20. Heck Northern Illinois played in it last year.

Even at your programs highest moment, the biggest accomplishment you can achieve is just a win over us. We will always be your national title game. You will always want to be us. Keep in mind, not all the best teams play in the BCS. WVU, No Illinois, Clem, Pitt, UCF...the Orange Bowl isn't what it used to be. Only once in the history of the bowl, neither team finished in the top 20 (WVU,CU). I'll take a top 5 finish.

disagree. Your ranking at the end of the year is great for you guys, but that ranking only lasts for a little while. Pre-season rankings will be more noticeable to people than end of the season ranking. The season is over.
BUT, our BCS OB trophy is here to stay. It can not be taken away, but a ranking comes and goes
