Something must be missing here, although the bears wouldn't be that bad of a fit for him. That is as long as the keep Forte and if Cutler can stay healthy (or they bring in a new QB).

It wasn't just a subpar 40-time, it was pretty bad.

When you have LB's that run 4.5 consistently (the people who are gonna be covering him), 4.9 just doesn't seem like he can get separation...which we know is not true. Unfortunately, some teams do look at the numbers, though.

I wish he had run at his pro day, because I really think he is faster than that. Just look at the film.

college career, often against future NFL linebackers. The fact that he is very effective at what he will actually be asked to do (get open and catch the ball) should count for a lot more than a 40 time. Somehow he has managed to overcome being slow as a mule. ;)
