Hot Rod looked good in Tuesday's scrimmage footage.

Munson's doing a good job with the daily video camp update. They aired a lot of Tuesday's scrimmage where the QB's looked sluggish but Hot Rod was displaying some great lateral moves and acceleration. He was the real thing in HS, and hopefully his year of college conditioning has him ready for the next level.

McDaniel's Tackle of Ashe...KABOOM!
Aug 14, 2010, 4:52 PM
|
|
We had IPTAY Rep day today and were able to attend the scrimmage and what the article fails to mention is the "flying burrito' tackle McDaniel laid on Ashe at the end of that 44-yard reception that kept him from scoring. The hit brought a lot of cheers, happened at the 2-yard line and Ashe had to lean against the wall with his hands on his knees for a minute or two.
So, all in all the offense was dominant, but DMack wasn't there to just watch!
Bonus, talked to Coach Danny Ford and had my picture made with him...AWSOME DAY!!

Sounds like the rush defense is going to be good again.

Funny, the difference a year makes. Last year, the offense couldn't do anything against the defense. This year it seems the offense is getting the best of the defense. Of course, this is just a scrimmage and there are folks out, but Steele looks like he has much work to do. Very early, I know, and success in a scrimmage may not be a good gauge of the real thing, but it may be.
