Interesting comment. I would say we made a whole bunch of mistakes; closer to 20 or 30. And I would say eliminating 2 or 3 of those mistakes and we squeak out a win.

That said, the coaches should be focusing on correcting ALL 20 or 30 mistakes. Best is the standard.

5-7 is a lot. That would give us a couple more scores and probably take away a couple possessions from Cuse... which gives our D much needed rest, etc. Eliminating 5-7 mistakes on O could very well have us winning by three or more touchdowns. ...which is the kind of worthless speculation we engage during bye weeks.

20-30 ???
If we'd have made 2 kicks we win.
If we'd have gotten the ball back after the failed punt , we likely win .
We made fewer great plays than we had mistakes , and that was the difference .

My main 2 complaints on offense are:
1. We abandoned the run based on syracuse defensive alignment. We still had huge runs but not enough of them.
2. We too often had an empty backfield. KB2 could not evade the rush due to ankle. We needed a RB in pass pro every pass play. We did not which resulted in rushed passes and incompleted passes.

These 2 things above got us behind the chains. I'm confident we learn and improve on syracuse game.
