I wouldn't get disheartened about recruiting this early in the period. We still have several months.
Your point though, is well made. We get some of the finest quality guys out there. We don't necessarily want the most of the thugs that make up SEC teams but not all of those guys are thugs.

Us being in the sec IS the biggest nite mare for coots. Every single advantage the coots have gained on that coat tail would be lost where we are concerned.

Players may like to be in the SEC. At least they would get rings for finishing in fifth place--never seen that before.
Did those who finished second, third, and fourth receive awards if the fifth place holder received rings?
Personally, would prefer to have the championship rings and trophies-----not a fifth place participation token.
