Agree with that. If anyone can tweet TB, ask him in that super stat brain of his if this is the first time a winning super bowl team has had 5 players on their roster that played their college ball in the same state. I believe it is.

Clemson- 3
SC State - 1
Coots - 1

William Perry was on the 1981 Clemson Championship team and also won the NFL Championship too. Doesn’t that count?

Yeah but the article said “since” Dan Benish. The Fridge did it before Dan Benish accomplished both.

The Fridge did it with the 1985 Bears. Benish with the 1987 Redskins.

Andy Headen and Terry Kinard were on the 1981 championship team and they eventually won it all with the Giants in 1986 but they had retired by the 1991 season when the Giants won it all again.

So yes Benish was the last to do it in 1987.

By 2025, I hope there are quite a few more players from the 2016 and 2018 teams to have won both a National championship with Clemson and a Super Bowl Championship with their NFL squad. Not an easy thing to do.

Idk why we forget about William “The Refrigerator” Perry as winning the 1981 Natty and 1986 Super Bowl...I forgot on a Facebook post, but was quickly reminded and was like...how did I miss him! Ha
