How did he do this season? Haven't heard much on him. I'd love it if he turned out to be the best out of the signing class just to show these rankings mean nothing!

He's a big ol' boy. I have no idea how athletic he is, but if our staff wanted him before anyone else, I expect he's got potential. Surely he'll red shirt. Maybe in a couple years he'll be ready to help.

Solid season heard caldwell stayed to contact with him durig the season he will be a project player by his rs soph. Year he will be a monster.

He is 3 stars which usually means at least All-Region type player. I watched the film on him, he does look fast and a sticks to his blocks. Read he has a mean streak which we need bad. And love his size. Georgia and FSU were very interested, but no offer after he committed to Clemson.

S. Region was top 150 and in an allstar game works both ways just like you said.

And wasn't Keith Adams and Leroy Hill both 2 stars? And both played in NFL with Hill still playing. I know one for sure was a 2 star.

Every sample set is going to have its outliers.
As a whole, a star ranking is a decent (not great) way to determine how a player will be able to contribute to the next level.
Of course 2 stars will become All-conference players and play in the NFL, just as 5 stars will wash out in a year or two.
But ignoring star rankings altogether isn't wise.

I have never seen the kid play. I just know that he wasn't offered by any other schools and did not get any invitations to all-star games.
I hope he turns into the next coming of the Bostic brothers.
