Derrick Hamilton actually did well and got drafted in the third round. Not bad for someone not 100% committed to football. He was injured for a season, but still made about a million bucks over a 3 year period.
He's married now to a beautiful woman, has a great family, an is probably making about as much money as you are right now.
I hate when people always talk about DHam like he screwed up or something. He'd do it all over again if he had the chance.

I actually work with Hamilton and I asked him a few weeks back why he came out early. He said that he felt like he was ready and that he felt like there were not many good WRs in the class. I the asked him what he would do if he could do it over and he said he would have came back. Also said Bryant isn't ready!
