I cannot agree with that, but I will say that the 5% at either end of the political spectrum have a very unbalanced view of the world and that they seem to get 95% of the attention.

If intelligence follows a normal distribution (probably does) then it is mathematical "fact" half the population is below average (median really, but median and average will be very close for a large population) intelligence.

Ask yourself, how smart is the average American?

Now think about HALF the people being below that. TIGrrFnn® is onto something here.
