Here's the thing...

Apr 14, 2014, 5:36 PM

...over the past few years I have watched Coach Swinney take a mediocre and misguided program and transform it into a conference and national contender.

He has done so by building a foundation of discipline within the program, and by holding our players to a high standard of conduct, both on and off the field.

I have the utmost respect for Coach Swinney and his staff and the methods by which they run the Tiger Football program.

Sure, I hate to lose a great player like Chad Kelly, but I trust this coaching staff and I am thankful for the direction in which they are leading the young men on the team.

If Dabo says Kelly needs to go for the betterment of the program, then I trust that is what needs to happen.

I appreciate the discipline and character that has been the foundation of Clemson Football since Dabo took over.

I'll take 1 Daniel Rodriguez over 100 of the best 5-Star recruits who can't go "all in" with this team...any day, any season.

Go Tigers.

Amen. I have faith in Dabo's decision making.***

I agree that we are one

Apr 14, 2014, 5:43 PM

We are losing one of the greatest QBs to ever walk through here, as well as one of the best WRs ever, and we are still considered a dark horse to win the Natty.

Greatest quarterback?

You and I differ in opinions.

I think he is talking about Tajh Boyd

Tajh was pretty good...

darn opinions...why doesn't everyone just agree with me? ;)

records prove Tajh was ONE of the best, if not THE best, but that is opinion naturally and depending on what you base it on. it's relative...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No doubt about it.***

Well the problem comes at the end of the year. The past few

Apr 14, 2014, 6:33 PM

years we have been contenders...prior to playing USuC. From here on out number 5 isn't a contender (assuming it's teams 1-4 that are in the playoff, who knows how conference affiliation will play with that).

The fact that USuC could keep us out of the playoff sickens me.

100 Daniel Rod's for a team would be a very tough but small football team.

I imagine they would be really good at special teams plays.

Re: Here's the thing...

Apr 14, 2014, 5:50 PM

I agree 100%. That kid is one heck of an athlete, but at some point enough is enough. This is the fourth or fifth time in his short career he's been involved in some kind of mishap or lapse in judgement. If the coaches say he needs to go, then I think its time for him to leave. I hate to see it happen, but no one player is more important than the program.

Because USuC players and coaches understand the importance

of that game.

Tajh Boyd said during spring game it was a mental thing among the players, including him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why do you say he was a "great".........

Apr 14, 2014, 6:30 PM

player? When did he ever prove himself on the field in a game, etc.?

He had a lot of potential but he hadn't earned the title of a "great" player for us. It doesn't matter what he did in high school.
