He is a pretty #### poor recruiter not a good thing at a place like Clemson. I have a very successful sales background and I know I would smoke him in recruiting.

olds, or in this case the kid is 20 or 21.
Much different than "sales." The only similarity you can make is in basketball in the ACC we are a regional business and Duke, UNC, Syracuse, etc. are multinational corporations.

I would think this idea would be an easy sell to many players. Here's my idea:
"If you come to CLEMSON, you can break EVERY record in the books". After all - do we have any records that aren't easy to break by some of these top recruits? Yeah - we had Skip Wise - but he only played one year - so even his records could be broken by the right recruit.

IMO - BB should go to the "Dabo School of Recruiting" and take some classes. Dabo is an 'expert' at this stuff. Can't BB at least audit the courses?????

I think u r right. Maybe his presentation sucks and he couldnt close his own front door?!
And to b a good salesman , being likable matters. Maybe recruits don't like him and he needs to work on his approach . Either way, I'd smoke him in recruiting.

some ironic twist of fate, BB hires you to be a recruiter. What do you sell the recruits on that would give you an edge in the ACC over Duke, UNC, Pitt, Cuse, etc? What would you have at Clemson to sell the kids? Playing time? Mediocre facilities? Poor fan support? Lack of program success? As a salesman you can have all the personality in the world, but if you don't have a product to sell to high school kids, how do you get them in the door?
It's a nice idea to say you can sell Clemson, but how do you go into a living room and get kids to play for you when Roy, K, Dixon, etc were just selling their program the day before?

I am serious, but u r not listening. I don't want a job. Ill do it for free. All I ask is for bb to ask me nicely for my help n tiger net to apologize when I produce. It's that simple. And when I prove my point, I'm out. You see, I am a good salesman . I did it for years . And I believe in Clemson , been a tiger fan since I could walk. I could sell this place in my sleep. Maybe bb doesn't believe in his product and so they don't believe in it either.
My point remains, bb is a good coach but he sucks as a recruiter. And I do not believe all the garbage about how Clemson is hard to sell. I think it's the people doing the selling.

Truth is , I know I could easily out recruit him. If I didn't get at least two mcd all Americans within 6 months, I'd wash every car on campus. That's how sure I am that bb couldn't recruit his own mom to bake a cake. Anyway, you guys r exactly right. No way they would ever give some bumb like me a chance to prove a point like that even for free. It won't happen. Just wont. Because....
Bb doesn't have the guts to ask me for help and get schooled by little ole know nothing like me. I mean really, what do i know? I imagine that would b pretty embarrassing. So no , it won't happen .
