On October 3rd at around 8PM we will play against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish varsity men's football team. It is a match up many Clemson fans have been looking forward to since 1977. It should be a match up of two talented football teams.
The Fighting Irish are coached by Brian Kelly. Notre Dame has won 884 football games. They have had 7 Heisman winners, but are only 17-17 in bowl games. They have 11 national titles.
What to look for when Notre Dame has the ball: They will most likely be wearing white jerseys with gold pants and gold helmets. They will snap the ball to their QB, and he will either hand it off, run it himself or pass it. Our defense will try to tackle whoever has the football.
What to look for when Clemson has the ball: We will be wearing orange, and we will also snap it to our quarterback. However, we will take less time between plays most likely.
What to look for on special teams: On 4th down either team may punt the ball if they are not in field goal range. If they are in field goal range, they may kick a field goal, which will be worth 3 points. After each score and to start each half there will most likely be a kickoff.
I am looking forward to watching this contest. Come back Monday, October 5th for a recap of what happened.
