MY thoughts . . .

Tajh, running backs, WRs, whatever, we were THOROuGHLY WHIPPED in every single pahse of the game tonight. We were out played, out coached, and outhustled by a superior team. Their QB was better, their lines were better, their RBs were better, their WRs were better, their DBs were better, their coaches were better, their gameplan was better, their play calling was better, and their preparation was better, all by a sizable margin. We are not as good as advertised. They are very, very good. This was more than a bad game, even though it was that and then some.
Anybody who sees anything else is delusional. Do we give up . . . do we throw in the towel? #### no. Is our season over? Of course not - we can still have a great season; but let's face it. We've got a ways to go to be the elite team many of us thought we were.

I would like to add this if I may.
Once again Clemson has failed to live up to the hype.
Once again,our fan base has been lured into thinking we are good enough to play for a NC.when in reality we have yet to even win a BCS Bowl.
Once again,Clemson has become the laughing stock of the ACC.
Once again the word "Clemsoning" will be heard in the colllege landscape.
Call me a coot if you wish,but the reality of the situation is that until Clemson football instills in it's program the type of killer instinct found under Danny Ford,Clemson will continue to be a top 25 team,but never a top 5.

knew this loss would bring the chicken littles out. We are an elite team, just not the best team in the country. Being elite, doesn't mean you win every single game.

still win out, kick the Coots a$$, and win a big bowl. I'm just acknowledging what tonight's thrashing means. Before tonight, many, if not most of us, thought we were the best team in our conference, and were serious contenders for the national championship. Tonight made it clear that we are nowhere close to either. Spin that however you like, but that's the truth.

You obviously got over excited by us starting out 6-0, failing to realize we had two other elite teams along with us in the conference with fsu and miami. I wasn't one of those people who thought the ACC championship was a lock for us. Really, you need take the emotion out of your thinking. Because before tonight you thought we were by far the best in the ACC, even though they were two other elite teams in the ACC. Now after this loss, you proclaim we have problems at every position and every coaching position. Oh, and take this into consideration, National Titles aren't easy to win.
So according to you before tonight we were by far the best team in the ACC and national title contenders. After tonight you say that we can have a great season, but we are far from being an elite team and have major problems at every position and every coaching position. How can you have a great season and not be an elite team? And on top of that how can you have a great season with major problems at every position and every coaching position? Your line of thinking isn't very logical or makes much sense.
Was the national title a possibility for us, yes in today's college football world where there aren't the complete teams the way they used to be in college football. Were there things before the season from assessing our team that could be a stumbling block to national title, yes there was. I thought a young secondary would be that stumbling block, unfortunately it was bad oline play. Which I didn't expect.
See your making your assessment of the team based on your emotion from a painful loss. I was mad as he!! tonight about the loss. But stepping back from those emotions, I can properly assess what went wrong. You should try that some time, separate your emotion from your assessment.

We lost tonight 52-14. We were outplayed and outcoached in every phase of the game. If you disagree with that, that's okay.

They've got like maybe 1,200 people in that band!?
Somebody said on the radio this week that they should've put the FSU fans in the upper deck on the opposite side of their band like they did to us last year. Sounds like that would've been a pretty good idea. I don't support bad behavior or being openly hostile to opposing fans, but sometimes I feel we may be a little too nice to visitors. I've never really understood why you would be worried about visiting fans liking to come here? Seems if you got a reputation for being a rough place for visiting fans, they'd stay home.

let's face it.
And even then Chad Morris needed to put some trickish plays in to score. This year he took the week off it seems.
I don't know we have the talent to compete with them if we had Saban on the sidelines tonight.

experienced. Now what we don't have this season on offense is elite RB that we had in Ellington last year. But at the same time while McDowell is not elite he is dependable, and there is a possibility that Brooks could be elite if he had oline that could block for him. We lost some from offense last year, but we have plenty of talent to replace it.

I could care less.
And I think we are underestimating the loss of Nuk. Williams is good but Nuk would have plunked that toss Boyd had to him and marched in the end zone in the first half. Williams simply dropped it or had alligator arms, not sure which.
Ford, Nuke, and Ellington would have probably meant a double-digit loss and not an embarrassing Game Day one.

Why does this happen to us???
Boyd plays like a high school QB in big games and our defense cant stop them all night???
I am so tired of these results and now the SC game will be more important since we lose that and we are out of a BCS game for sure>

I think everybody could see the problems that we had. For whatever reason the majority of us thought we could overcome them and that just wasn't the case. We are below average at running back, average along the offensive line, thin in the secondary and thin at WR. We could have played better against FSU but it's doubtful we could have beaten them even on our best day.
