MB got suspended. Why not Tahj? Both made gestures after

their respective touchdowns. I know MB has been a work in progress, but I for one was scared after Tahj did the money gesture in the UGAG game that we would get the play called back or something. I don't see where we can have it both ways. Maybe I'm missing something. Go Tigers !!! Hang 82 on the Docile Deacons!!!

You should have only been scared about yards penalized

The throat gesture has been a no-no since at least the late '90s.

Well, one one hand you have Tajh saying "show me the money" and we all like money. On the other hand you have Bryant mimicking the act of killing somebody. Yeah, i guess that's about the same.

The last I heard, guns and knives were no longer part of the uni issue. So I'm thinking that MB didn't have a knife or a gun to do any killing with.;)

I think throat slashing may as well be coupled with flipping

the opposing crowd off and gestures toward crotch area kind of thing. There are some places you just don't go.

Now Tajh's money hands, I would think, are a little more Innocent...just like kneeling and thanking God. Just my two cents...

What difference does it make, you can't even pray or salute your troops after a TD either? They need to all just take a page from Sammy and give the ball to the ref and head to the sidelines.

I blame Woody for acting like he'd been there before.

Agree with you, act like you've been there and will get back***

NCAA in 2004 outlawed the throat slashing gesture and

made it a 15 yard penalty. The NFL did it first in 1999.

TJ Yeldon actually was suspended by Saban for the first quarter of Bama"s game against Colorado for his double throat slash gesture in the A&M game.

Tigers just got lucky refs didn't see it but

I noticed it live and cringed expecting to here Palmer say there was a flag down. But the refs didn't see it.

The money sign is a thing that George Whitfield...the qb guru from Cali teaches the players he coaches...that's why manziel did it in week 2 they just made a big deal about his bc of who heis.

Wrong, Johnny football actually got that from his buddy Drake. Drake is the one that made the "money sign" popular

Because Tajh has been a model student-athlete.

Martavis has not. Dabo has said before that punishment is not only based in the action, but also the cumulative behavior of who did it. Someone who is a model citizen and messes up once should be judged differently than someone who has routinely been in trouble in the past.

I'm sure Dabo told Tajh not to do the money thing again, but because he has had no prior problems he didn't suspend him. Bryant, on the other hand, made a gesture which is considered worse AND has been suspended in the past. Apples and oranges.

It doesn't matter why. I bet he doesn't do it again.

Just FYI, those penalties are dead ball fouls and would

never result in the scoring play being called back. They are enforced on the ensuing kickoff.

MB is NOT suspended, where did you hear that?

Posted: Sep 25, 2013 8:28 AM

Playing time will be reduced, but Battle is the one suspended.

it's the coach's decision, he can make it anyway he wants***

Another Chicken fan stirring the pot.

Are you really stupid enough to compare a money symbol with a throat slash?
