MARTA Question for ATL tigers

Aug 31, 2012, 12:21 PM

Between Doraville, Chamblee, and Brookhaven which is the best bet to park and ride MARTA into the game and why? Thanks in advance...looking forward to seeing Solid Orange in ATL...Go Tigers!!

Depends on if you are staying close to those stations...

I live very close to the Lindbergh Station...and will take the train in as I always do...Only thing...changing trains at Five Points and the ride back after the game with the rush is a pain...You may wait much longer going back oppose going to the Dome. If we win the ride back is much much better!!!! ;)

The Brookhaven parking lot is relatively small compared to some of the other stops. That being said, I've not been to the other two that you mention.

This should help everyone asking.

I personally like getting the rail at Lenox Square.

I agree

Aug 31, 2012, 1:30 PM

Free parking (I think?) in a parking garage and good area next to Dunwoody Mall. I live in Cobb county, so I have to drive to a Marta station. Dunwoody station is the best choice as far as safety and location.

Yep, free 24 hour parking.

Also its not a ghetto area like the others

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This will be my first trip to the ATL

Aug 31, 2012, 1:28 PM

Looks like kensington is the best place to get on at.

We are staying in Covington...

Aug 31, 2012, 4:29 PM

...because we need to get home early on Sunday, and that gets us 30+ minutes closer to Lexington. So we're going to take the train from Indian Creek unless someone knows a reason we shouldn't.

If you're in covington, thats your best option

Indian Creek is very ghetto, though. FYI
