Liked my first two tahoes, this one can kiss by salty taint. Anyway, it seems I have a computer problem to deal with. GM, in all it's wisdom, decided to put the automotive equivalent of a Commodore 64 in '10 tahoes to run the electronics. Yay! Well one of the "features" provided by this artificial intelligence goober pea mind is that you can turn the vehicle off, take out the key, and the all of the electronics will still operate so long as the driver side door is closed. This is presumably put in place so you can fully enjoy that b1tchin' Eddie Van Halen solo in the parking lot before getting out of the truck and not be burdened with having to turn the vehicle off. Well, here in lies the issue...I can turn the vehicle off, remove the key, AND open the driver side door.....and all the electronics are still on. The B side of Hot for Teacher is starting up and I can't turn the fuggin truck off, which leads to dead battery, which leads to anger, which leads to....you know.
Anybody had anything similar. Got any ideas? If I have to take it to the da mn dealer to reprogram the Commodore 64, I might just pull out the heavy artillery and put her out of her misery.
Help?

Any issues with the dome lights?

could be the door sensor.
If it's not working it could be telling the computer the door is still closed when it's not.
Had this same issue. After about 2000 miles it fixed itself.
Here's how you check for it:
Next time you open the door and the electronics are still going, open another door. If the electronics go off, it's your door sensor.
You're whalecum.
I take payments in d!nks and t!ts.

I was thinking this...

The drivers door latch needs to be replaced. The latch has the dome light and RAP(the radio and windows working while ignition is off) switches built into it. You can try spraying P.B. Blaster or WD-40 into the latch on the end of the door. Then open and shut the door completely about 10-15 times. It's a temporary fix and most of the time it works.

Latch? It's not the latch. It's the door light switch.***
