Does anyone long for the days of Coach

Aug 3, 2020, 7:49 AM

It's an idealized TV world, but it was back when athletes were students, coaches were not making 10x any other school official, coaches weren't fired after a bad season. I suppose like anything money has ruined it.

I think an NFL minor league would help. Pro baseball is intolerable to watch, but I quite enjoy college ball. There are many competitive teams and only folks who want to be there. Only about half the players are showing off jewelry to boot.

Something will come along. A century ago, baseball and boxing were on top.

The tv show?

Did you know one of the assistant coaches from the show is the voice of Patrick from sponge bob square pants?

I am fairly certain Luther's character was portraying Muschamp

Luther, bumbling as he was, was the D coordinator

for a national champion team. I suppose Muschamp was decent in coordinator role. Luther bombed in the episode where he took a head position.
