These point spreads have everything to do with controlling the flow of money. The first odds are what the sharps think will happen, the adjusted odds are the sucker's bet. People can act like this is a slight towards us, but the people setting the spreads are only fans of money.

..this game. Think about it, Vegas set the initial line as high as -3 for Clemson, then the public double guessed and bought into the hype of Louisville and hence the lines have shifted in Papa John's favor.

Obviously Vegas knows enough to pick the Tigers to win but will gleefully let the public squander their money on Papa John's as a road fave...knowing all the while Clemson wins this one somewhere along the lines of 35-17 or 35-21...something like that.

Vegas does like to keep the money close to 50/50. The line tells me they knew that the Sharks would value Clemson so they had to put a line out there to entice the public to take Louisville hard. They then swing the line in Clemsons favor to balance out the money. Vegas loves to take a suckers money but they also make sure they are not over leverage one way.
