Lost in all this concern about

Dec 1, 2018, 9:27 AM

Our secondary has been how potent and diverse has become. I see Herbie acknowledged it today. But I think our offense is now in a position to make up for any issues our defense might have on the back end and win games on its own. I’d put our offense up there with Oklahoma and Alabama at this point. For some reason, though, that seems to get lost in the shuffle as it did with the South Carolina game.

and that is b/c of the defenses we have scored a ton of points on. I think our offense is dynamic and has a ton of potential still to go. But, looserville and scar defenses aren't exactly top 50 defenses let alone top 5 or 10.

Plus, the defense is still by some metrics, #1. Or #2. Hard to beat that and using funky we waited all year to use this formation and personnel grouping didn't destroy that fact.

I don't like the prospect of having to outscore teams. I would rather shut them down by in large or at least at critical times. We won the national title b/c Bamer couldn't move the ball in the 2nd half and kept giving our offense the ball back. We took advantage. We have to have both; we don't want to turn into a big 12 team, LOL! i.e. all offense no defense!
