Can we get a four seed?

Much prefer this because of the danger of 12 seeds historically. Some big upsets there.
We had a closer game vs UVA than UNC.
Haven't counted our quadrant 1 wins but we have no bad losses.
Dance card shows us as a 4, let's hope!

Just about the time I thought I understands good wins vs bad wins , they throw quadrant wins at me .
I gotta know geometrics to enjoy a basketball playoff game now ?

When you're running triangle offenses, it's a lock that Pythagorean Theories and trapezoidal concepts aren't far behind. Not to go all tangential, but the state of the game today is arcing in a new direction and I don't know enough to be diametrically opposed, regardless. But, if Buzz Lightyear ever takes over, the calculus and to 'Infinity and Beyond' will be more than I can factor.

They only teams in the top 16 I think we have a chance to be ahead of are Auburn and Texas Tech. Maybe Wich St. UT playing in the SEC champ game helps them, especially if they win. UNC has a higher RPI. Zona just won the PAC 12. Looks like we are going to be a 5 to me. Idc about the history of the 5/12 it is a different year and we should beat any 12 seed that we face.

We have an RPI of 10 right now though, I think a 4 seed is certainly a possibility.

We should be a 4 seed for sure imo. Even a 3 seed maybe but if the commitee is anything like the rankings we will be a 5.

Our body of work is very good, we play in a very tough conference, we have good wins in and out of conference, and no bad losses.
We are a 5 seed at worst, but I’m expecting a 4.

So what one of the top 16 teams in the rankings do you think we take a 4 seed from? I think we deserve a 4 seed but who gets bumped to a 5? Auburn, Texas Tech, Wich St?

Our RPI is 10, and our strength of schedule is 14.
Wichita State’s RPI is 12, their SOS is 29.
Auburn’s RPI is 15, their SOS is 45.
Texas Tech’s RPI is 23, their SOS is 52.
The better question is, why should any of those teams get a 4 seed over us?

It's not just RPI, KenPom and the quadrant record (which is a dumb metric but whatever) matters. We are a KenPom 5 so it seems right to me.

Oh I agree with you for sure. They do all have better records but none of them have more than a couple of really good Ws. Auburn did win the SEC regular season so that might help them. I think we get the 4 and Texas tech gets a 5 but idk. Depends on what the commitee looks at. Idk what the rankings go by that makes those teams ahead of us. Just people opinions and teams records I guess but the commitee could have the same opinions.

Heck if UNC is a 2 I don't see how we wouldn't be a 3 seed. I could see us being a 5 just because of the lack of tradition we have. It shouldn't matter but idk how the commitee thinks.
