Now that's the kind of facility that a top tier team should have... TtIt will help to attract great recruits as well!

How long until this sucker is built?

This will make a big difference in recruiting and our preparation. It's hard to avoid those afternoon thunderstorms in the summer. This will also be a good place for those who are rehabbing injuries to practice in a safer, less risky setting.

Not griping, but it amazes me how much money is invested

Feb 3, 2012, 4:52 PM

by us and so many other schools for 11-14 games per year. At most - two weeks' worth of events. But probably even more amazing is how much money WE invest in, what, six home games per year, and how much money the university rakes in as a result. College football has become quite the money machine. Amazing - and in not that long of time either....

I imagine the facilities upgrade is quite a nice shock for the average high school athlete coming to a school like Clemson, but that the same shock is much lessened when entering the pros because most college facilities are probably pretty comparable with the pros.

I love it, I think it's worth it, and the books show that it's worth it, but wow - all this for 11-14 games per year. Games! Crazy, ain't it?

Not griping, but griping. You think it's worth it, but not

really for just 6 (actually 7) home games.

If the university didn't see the importance of a top-tier football program these investments would never be made. It goes waaaaaaaaay beyond football.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Looks great, but I wonder if

it would have been better to have this in their grand plan when the west endzone was built. You could almost have a pure football facility around this indoor practice facility rather than 2 seperate areas. But I guess in the grand scheme of things, the indoor practice facility is a metal building with a brick facade. Its probably pretty cheap in comparision.

But I'm always amazed at how they are able to carry the theme through all the buildings on campus. You always know a "clemson building."
