Maybe he has some family in this area. Arizona hasn't exactly been a hotbed of recruits for us.

besides Texas? I thought we even dropped the region to better allocate recruiting resources. Maybe Morris had a relationship with this kid while at Tulsa.

I hadn't thought about Morris, that might be the connection. We got a couple of recruits from Oklahoma during Danny's last years, and if my memory is correct, we once got a basketball transfer from either Arizona or ASU. I think that was when Ellis was the coach.

but I think he was from New Mexico who played in 2007? I recall he caught a TD pass when we played Fla St in the opener. Interesting question, however.

linthicum was a scholarship TE from Virginia who transferred to MIchigan State after 1 season...you're thinking of Gronkowski who was in the same class and chose Arizona over us
