on this. End to end encryption is a must and should not be negotiable.

Opening a back door (or worse) opens it to everyone in the end.

Furthermore, rolling your own encryption is hardly rocket science. Any slightly computer savvy person can setup decently secure encryption with a little research so imagine what a truly competent entity or nation-state could do

Can't tell exactly what technologies they plan to use, however you don't have to open a backdoor
to find stuff. There are ways today to locate malware in encrypted traffic and if they do something
similar it won't have to invade anyones privacy.

The technology used needs to be industry driven and not mandated by government, otherwise they
will screw it up.
