Awesome update! Go Tay!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They can't call Hines Ward or Lynn Swann to come

Jun 4, 2015, 10:36 AM

mentor him? Heyward-Bey is not a guy I'd want my players to learn from. Unless his is a case of can't do so teach.

He was the man in college??

Jun 4, 2015, 10:52 AM

When was he the man here? When was he even our #2?

WEEE TOOOOOO DEEP!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

to be fair he was our #2 most of his last year

Jun 4, 2015, 11:33 AM

His games against Ga Tech and Ohio State were great.
But I hear ya. He did drop a lot of balls, and I think most Clemson fans thought he made a mistake leaving early. Glad it has worked out for him. #WRU

He would have been a first rounder this year. He felt it was best for his family if he left early, can't fault a man for that.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

I didn't agree with his decision when he made it, but in hindsight, it probably was the best thing for him to do. Considering we spent 75% of last season with a QB that couldn't really get the ball past the line of scrimmage - it wouldn't have mattered what kind of skill he had. He'd have just spent all year running fade routes over and over.

It was a gamble for him most definitely, and not one I would have taken. But in the end it worked out for the best for him. Not a Steelers fan, but I wish him much success.

He had some voodoo in his head for the UGA game but was

Jun 4, 2015, 9:00 PM

solid from then on out. He certainly didn't get targeted as much as the others probably because it wasn't needed as well as the trust factor but was still solid. Had a great game against Ohio St.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I had the same thought ... the man?

Jun 4, 2015, 11:55 AM [ in reply to He was the man in college?? ]

But to be fair, he was the pretty solid #2.

He was clearly our #2 WR. Do you even watch football bro?***

It's too bad he didnt put in the work while here in college

Jun 4, 2015, 12:06 PM

I hate these guys who are supremely talented yet just lazy. He couldve been truly special here if he had just worked harder.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He did put in work at Clemson, that's why he got drafted..***

dunno about that, but his ceiling is WAY up there

Jun 4, 2015, 12:14 PM

Guy runs sub-4.4 at 6'5" and can leap through the rafters, and while he's not quite an Aaron Kelly when it comes to pulling the Plastic Man thing and changing direction and contorting his body to make the circus catch, he's close...very difficult receiver to predict, and he was hard to lay hands on cleanly and press at the line, so you can't get him that way either.

If his work ethic is there, yeah, he can certainly aspire to All-Pro. He did well for us as a junior, sure, but he never really scratched the surface of his potential in college.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I always thought he was the most talented guy on our roster

Jun 4, 2015, 1:44 PM

big, strong, as fast or faster than Sammy, good vertical leap. If he puts everything together he can be absolutely dominant. Like Chad Johnson in his early years with the Bengals, Megatron in Detroit level dominant.

Thumbs-up PT. MB had skills which needed maturing ...

Jun 4, 2015, 8:52 PM

Tajh and Dabo rightly went to Sammy who was more developed at a younger age ... but our Tiger coaches and fans spent more time slamming MB than appreciating his potential. We could have won a few more by using MB more often and more effectively which I said and wrote many times to no effect (typical T-Net reply: "so you know more than the coaches?") Answer: "About business jets yes, about football no." But MB's potential is undeniable. I hope he keeps his head, conditioning, and practice/study habits right, so he can reach his highest potential. Pulling hard for Sammy, CJ, Vic and other Tigers to have a breakout year as well.

Jun 5, 2015, 10:59 AM

I think a lot of fans slammed him because they saw the potential too, and they were frustrated that he wasn't realizing it. Glad he seems to be breaking through now that the only thing he has to do is focus on football.
