UVA had 38 rebounds and their guards got most of them. Purdue had 30 rebounds.

Yes, but the 17-8 was the offensive rebound difference (sorry for not being more specific). That gave UVA 10 extra attempts on the basket.

Another lesson I learned is we need to move on from Brad. We will never look that good or near it under his coaching...

Lesson 2

Mar 30, 2019, 11:17 PM

Recruit 3 point shooters. If you want success running a system that minimizes possessions, you'd better have guys to knock down the 3 so you can maximize efficiency on the possessions you have

UVA shot 33% from the arc in this game. Purdue shot 45%.

We shot 32.9% from 3 this season.

Rebound. UVA had two guys with more rebounds than the point production of Purdue guys not named Edwards.

Yet it was Guy who kept them in it

hitting 3 after 3 in the second half. This is reason number 1 Bennet's style works for him, he has 3-4 shooters on the floor at the same time. He understands low possession games means maximizing possessions.

6'2" 175 lbs Kyle Guy got 10 rebounds against Purdue. That stickback in traffic was nice for a guard.
