Cool, I spent decades where the first $94k to $108K was tax exempt, also was exempt from payroll taxes. Remember to shake vigorously before attempting the trickle down as at time it becomes a stream

Les Moonves had a $120M severance

trickle down economics is not trickling down at all. It's staying at the top where everybody knew it would.

To be fair Bob when he buys the wife some serious eye candy or a large boat or Rolls that does in fact trickle down. Just saying.

Yep. Companies are still laying people off.

Have yet to hear one client say they now don’t need to cut costs (payroll) as much due to tax breaks.

The first responsibility is typically to shareholders.

Our revenue was up 13% this year. Our profit margin was down 50% since we added more employees to keep hours down. Even with that diminished profit, our bonuses paid out were nearly twice the total dollars of last year. I can’t speak for everyone but we (the owners) didn’t take all the money.

How much did Obamacare increase your premiums?

Dec 16, 2018, 9:54 AM

That's trickle down too. He pees, it trickles down your back and he says it's raining.

Our insurance went down a ton a few years ago

Dec 16, 2018, 10:44 AM

Each year since has had 10% increases. We’re back to where we started in costs, but definitely experienced savings for a few years.

I think most everyone will delight in what congress comes...

Dec 16, 2018, 11:50 AM

up with over the next two years. I hope they get a jump on a new and viable plan which suits America's needs and doesn't expect the working class to foot the bill.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpgringofhonor-clemsontiger1988-110.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

that would require congress working together and compromise

Dec 16, 2018, 12:08 PM

I have little faith.

They don't have much choice now.

Dec 16, 2018, 12:19 PM

Everyone on both sides of the isle will be wanting healthcare reform when Obamacare fails. Old people are paying their share even if they live only on social security, medicare isn't free. The working class are paying their share in insurance premiums.

Everyone with or without healthcare will want a new bill which works without raising insurance premiums or taxes. Maybe for different reasons but we will all want it then. I just hope Congress foresees the problem and starts tomorrow on a new plan.

ACA did nothing

Dec 16, 2018, 11:13 AM [ in reply to How much did Obamacare increase your premiums? ]

We’ve been between 10-15% most years and we were over 20% the year all the ACA mandates were enforced a few years ago.

ACA did nothing for us other than hurt us since we’re a male dominated company (engineering) and now we have coverage for all the female needs that we don’t use.

Congress can do better.***

I love that I have free breast screening now. I just can't find a woman who will let me screen her.
