At first I thought you were referring to Red as a scarecrow.
Funny, but we don't joke about Red in here. She's a Saint.

What do you consider a "short walk"
Dec 3, 2020, 10:54 AM
[ in reply to $100 says that within a short walk from home ] |

Closest Popeyes on googlemaps is a 2 hour and 22 minute walk.
Closest "Payday loan" on googlemaps is a 1 hour and 1 minute walk.
Closest "Used Tire Dealer" on googlemaps is a 1 hour and 50 minute walk.

Questions/Observations
Dec 2, 2020, 12:26 PM
|

Is the speed limit 60mph on the road in front of your house?
Where is the sidewalk? Is Red walking that babby in a stroller on the grass?
Why is there a random car parked under that big shade tree on the left?
Have you banged Red in both of the bedrooms?
Ok, yep the big bushes got to go. They make the landscaping (more) out of balance and cover 50% of 40% of your front windows.
Shrubs left of stairs look diseased compared with shrubs right of stairs.
Look at the space between the garage winders and the gutters above them. Its more trapezoid than rectangle. Something ain't right here. Perhaps it's about to cave in? Good news is you couldn't possibly ruin anything more than a mini-cooper if that does happen.
I have you pegged as a controlling sort. Backing in your truck to trap Red is a classic sign.
I'll be honest, I've never seen a front entry to a home where you have to literally walk through the fireplace to get to the 10x10 living room.
2/10. Clean the top of that chimney and I may go 2.5.

Is the speed limit 60mph on the road in front of your house?
Speed limit is 25mph
Where is the sidewalk? Is Red walking that babby in a stroller on the grass?
There are no sidewalks in our neighborhood. We walk in the road like everyone else in our neighborhood because it is a small community with no thru traffic. Perspective, due to my phone being at curb level, may give the impression that Red is closer to me than you would perceive. I just measured on GIS, Red is about 69' away from me when I took this photo.
Why is there a random car parked under that big shade tree on the left?
Due to the pizza shape of my yard, you can catch the neighbors property next to mine. He is parked in the grass next to his driveway.
Have you banged Red in both of the bedrooms?
All three, yes. The living room, kitchen, and two of the three bathrooms. Your wife preferred the half bath, though.
Ok, yep the big bushes got to go. They make the landscaping (more) out of balance and cover 50% of 40% of your front windows.
This is done intentionally to look like a #####. I covered this elsewhere in this thread.
Shrubs left of stairs look diseased compared with shrubs right of stairs.
These are not shrubs. These are plants that lose their leaves each fall and grow back more vibrant in the spring. I would have thought that youd know this being, ya know, a career landscaper and part time taco boy.
Look at the space between the garage winders and the gutters above them. Its more trapezoid than rectangle. Something ain't right here. Perhaps it's about to cave in? Good news is you couldn't possibly ruin anything more than a mini-cooper if that does happen.
This is an illusion that you aren't picking up on due to something called perspective. The garage is set back from the from of the home, therefore, giving the illusion of the trapezoid you mention. You continue to struggle with this perspective thing. Along with perspective, the eve from the homes roof hangs over that of the garage, which is at a lower elevation than the homes roof.
I have you pegged as a controlling sort. Backing in your truck to trap Red is a classic sign.
This is our third car (humblebrag). The second is in the garage.
I'll be honest, I've never seen a front entry to a home where you have to literally walk through the fireplace to get to the 10x10 living room.
This is a standard chimney, not a German chimney. It is intended to burn logs, or in our case, natural gas, and not human beings. It extrudes about 1' into our living room and 2' outside of our home. If you truly want to get into the home, I would suggest utilizing the door to the left of the chimney.
2/10. Clean the top of that chimney and I may go 2.5.

to ever forget?
For someone that was so upset about me doing that, it must have really scarred him because he can't seem to let it go. It's like I anally raped him, and he keeps talking about how big my dong is.
Actually, I didn't even post any pictures. He did--one right off of Zillow. I did a GIS and asked what the other shanties on whatever street he is living on looked like.
Yes, thats what upset him.

I like that original brick color. It keeps alive
Dec 2, 2020, 1:07 PM

that 70's vibe that's rarely seen these days. The dark brick also helps to camouflage the useless, plastic, screw on shutters. I bet you get compliments from grandparents passing by all the time.
I like how the skinny inner windows are taller than the skinny outer two windows. Really breaks up the symmetrical monotony that most little houses have from one side to the other.
Have you noticed any mortar starting to crack near the chimney? 'Cause it looks like it's all falling in toward the cockchimney. Maybe it's just an optical illusion stemming from the massive footprint of that 30' entry elevation. Either way, you may want to have an engineer look at that.
Just wondering-Why is the shed so close to the side of the house?

As you said, that's built for an older couple and I'd add a young couple needing a place to grow a family and perhaps build a little wealth on the way. The distance from the drive to the front door is a puzzler, considering.
