Lattimore retires

Nov 3, 2014, 9:09 AM

Sad to see a career end before it starts. Wish him the best.

he beat Clowney to retirement?

Nov 3, 2014, 9:13 AM

that's surprising.

Hate to hear that. Good luck to him in whatever he pursues.***

how much was his insurance policy worth?

Nov 3, 2014, 9:23 AM

he'll be a multi-millionaire I'm sure.

Classy post! He truly is a great kid!

You can believe that if you want to. CJ got 15 touches a game while at Clemson, while Marcus had 40+ at times. More touches equal more injuries.

Believe what you want, but Spurrier does not care.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He got used up like a rented mule and the Lattimores know it***

Hate to see such a talented young man unable to use his gift. From an ESPN article:

"After the day of practice with the Niners, Lattimore said he has embraced his lot as a role model for athletes who have suffered knee injuries and said his faith and talks with his mother and sister helped him through bad days.

"And there were a lot of bad days," he said. "Just talk to people. Don't keep it in.""

Good luck, Mr. Lattimore.

I am with you..

Nov 3, 2014, 9:32 AM

Never had the chance to play and that is too bad.

That is sad news. He is a great kid and one of the best role models the Gamecocks have ever produced. I wish him luck.

Nov 3, 2014, 10:41 AM

Caught on in the league. Loved watching those two run. Both good dudes as well.

He can thank SPURRIER for this....

Watching him come to ATL my first year here and run all over N. Gwinnett was awesome. Hated he went to USuC. Think if he had stayed closer to home and been a Tiger his career may have been much better. Wish the best for him in life.

Very sad. I was looking forward to seeing return***
