Last year we had the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers on the DL

This year we have the morphing secondary with a 3 safety look that's blowing QBs minds... I think Coach V has everything set to face the trending change of air raid-type wide open passing attacks that we'll probably encounter later in the season. His morphing 3-3-5 is a new and fresh innovation. As some have said...Genius.

For real. No joke. Discuss.

unique and so variable that I think you'll see more of it even in the NFL... It's so much more set to stop a passing attack and yet it offers all kinds of blitz package overloads or deceptions... Last night, a number of times the blitz actually came not from the supposed overload but from the opposite side... That's the 'morphing' part of it...

Just an observation...

the only "problem" with the scheme was that the left-hand "edge rusher" (usually XT3) was pinching in a little too much towards the QB, allowing himself to be ridden too deep, and Divito was able to step "under" and to the outside to gain a clear throwing lane. That's what burned us on the two long pass plays (50 yds and 20+ yds). Divito is also very "quick" with his dodges in the pocket (which is why he lived through last night!), and I doubt we will see that kind of quickness much of the remainder of the season.

That said, I absolutely love CBV's creativity... and you can't question the effectiveness. I hope he stays here forever... Go Tigers!
