Last time I attended a game in Raleigh, it was the dark age

70's, before Pell and CDF. Stayed in the old round Holiday Inn Tower on Hillsborough and my wife and I hitchhiked out to the stadium. Our star player was a guy named Peanut Martin who among other things was our kick off and punt returner. We sucked pretty badly back then and that night was no different. Lost the game, Peanut broke his leg and was out for the year, but we did finally get a ride back to the hotel, pity I suppose. Things got better after that and they are getting better now. TV tonight, but Go Tigers!

He and I went to high school together. Good guy, good player. I am 2 years younger than him and never really got to hang out with him. It was a big deal for our little high school for him to get a scholly to CU at the time.
