Lack of Aggies in the actual stands

Sep 9, 2019, 1:09 PM

Was it just me or was anyone else kinda underwhelmed by the amount of A&M fans in the stands? They had a lot but it was no more than South Carolina or Florida State when they were feeing confident.

I was expecting more based on how many I saw tailgating. They had entire sections of A&M only tailgates, Hendrix etc. I was anticipating a record number of away fans in the crowd but when the game started it wasn't staggering. Less than FSU or SC I would say.

You must’ve been sitting in the North Stands. I thought the same thing unlil

I was over by the hill and saw how many they had in the North upper deck. I thought it was a great showing by their fan base considering how far they had to travel.

Hey, man, they had to come from Texas - not SC or FL! Thought it was great to see their cadet corps band!!!

Quite the opposite actually...

They travel better (much better IMO) than all of Clemson's ACC opponents.

That is bc they feel they have a good chance of winning, and they want to be there to celebrate on the home teams turf!!!

I'm in the NW corner of the UD and they were everywhere

Sep 9, 2019, 1:33 PM

I was impressed. It's a long way to travel and there's a lot less tourist-y stuff to do in SC than in Texas.

seemed like the stands were packed with Aggies

Sep 9, 2019, 1:37 PM

they filled in a lot of the top of the North stands

I thought it was a really good showing for the Aggie fans. They were mixed throughout the stands. We sat right behind their band in the WEZ and were very close to the assigned visitor section. I thought they were loud the few times they cheered. But, I can also see what you mean because there were a TON of Aggie fans tailgating.

we estimated 33% Aggies in the North Upper Deck (not the away seats either) ... that also means that 33% of the Clemson seat holders sold them... that was one the best showing for an away team I've seen.

There was a ton of them I thought, maybe more than Coots in 2018.

Maybe 15,000?

they pretty much had to fly where USC and FSU can drive it
