No, it's going to be build on Bowman Field......

Posted: Mar 14, 2017, 1:11 PM

that's where the baseball field was 100 years ago.

Doubt you are serious

Posted: Mar 14, 2017, 1:14 PM

and not likely it happens if you are, but I think Tillman as the backdrop to Clemson's softball field would be a very unique view and would be a really cool place to build a stadium.

I know. The backdrop would be one of a kind though.

I'm not serous - but I do have a photo of the baseball......

Someone at my work also mentioned finally clearing that spot across from the ESSO in cooperation with this project to mitigate some of the parking issues that will no doubt arise.

Thought that was an excellent idea.

Don't think there's enough room.

Plus it's on a hill and they just cleared out a lot of the area to make it look better/added a walkway and stone structures for look.

Forgot about the latest renovation to that area. Man, we are running out of on-campus space fast.

2020 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg

Yeah I think the only place to put it is Jersey Meadows

Anywhere else has to be farther away from campus and not near anything else.

I said earlier. Thornhill Village. Perfect property for...anything. Parking to offset the area taken by the softball facility seems like a good use of the space.

Thornhill shouldve been torn down a long time ago.

I'm sure they were lovely...then. Now, you should probably be packing heat if you're going.

Seriously, they're the worst housing on campus now unfortunately. ??

They will build more dorms when they tear down

Even after the Douthit construction, Clemson House replacement and all the off campus housing? We've been bulking up on the on and off campus student housing options.

Are you speaking from inside knowledge or just speculating?

Yes even after all that.. have you seen clemson

Lately? All the new off campus apts? Clemson will try to keep those kids on campus.

No insider info. Just using logic.

Fair enough. I know our undergrad population is exponentially climbing to support this.

I lived in Thornhill for a year and it was old and outdated

then. Can't believe it is still there.

Calhoun Courts was "new"

Other than football parking concerns, my only request is that we don't hurt the outfield view from DKS. I've noticed several schools have their baseball and softball stadiums side by side and it is an unattractive view to see the backside of softball bleachers from the baseball stadium and vice versa.

Prefer to maintain the scenic tree view from DKS, with Daboland in the far distance in the right field view.

As soon as hartwell dries up this summer, put the field right in the middle. Have pontoon shuttles for fans and homeruns go in the water. And the good lookin wimmens can swim in those bikinis in between innings
