It's a little disappointing to see these Mangino jokes.

This guy has a serious health problem. If you can joke at his weight problem would you also joke at him if he had cancer or some other serious health problem?
You wouldn't appreciate everyone poking fun at your health problems would you?
Mangino came to visit Clemson. He had good things to say about our defensive coordinator and football team.
Treat the man with more respect than he would receive at the local Elementary School.
Clemson is better than that.

People who make jokes at the expense of good people show how they were raised by their parents! If you wanna blast a slimeball like Spurlid with jokes or whatever thats fine he deserves it but Mangino is a guest at CLEMSON and friends with OUR new DC so show some class and respect and leave the man alone!!!

There's so many people with self-inflicted obesity that sometimes we forget that some people are fighting a battle with their own physiology. Maybe he can't help it. Regardless, it's a d!ck move to make fat jokes about a good guy.

I totally agree. We seem to have a lot of immature uneducated people on this board that can only post to the level of their IQ that in most cases is below room temperature. Remember, only 15% of all people are cognitive thinkers so that explains a lot. Thanks for a great post.

a diagnosis of cancer do all in their power to get well. No, I would ^not make jokes about a cancer victim with no hair and constant nausea due to intense chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I would, however, ridicule someone like Jobs who chose to fight his cancer with some ridiculous diet and exercise regimen.
Now, in the case of someone who is morbidly obese, I have to ask if he or she is doing all in his or her power to get well. If not, I don't think there is much of a defense against the ridicule.
Having said that, I know there are plenty of reasons one might mock me. Have at it. If there is a ring of truth to it, I might actually be motivated to change for the better.
