Yeah unfortunately a .182 average with strikeouts in almost 50% of his big leauge ABs isn't going to cut it. Especially since the Rockies were pretty deep at 1st and both corner outfield spots.

But he didn't do much better for Cincinatti's AA team either, so when you're 27 you have to decide if you want to get into your 30s kicking around in the minors or cut your losses and move on. Looking forward to having him on board back in Clemson.

I wonder how he's done managing his baseball money.

Hopefully he won't be coaching QBs on how to roll right and throw off the back foot...

Normally I'd Agree, but Kyle Parker just rubbed a lot of people the wrong way when he was at Clemson. I've never liked him but I was happy when we got drafted just because it meant he didn't have to play QB anymore.

I'm interested to know who he rubbed the wrong way. I've never heard anything but good things about KP from coaches around Clemson mattcah®

Re: Kyle Parker

Jul 11, 2017, 9:04 PM

I'm going off personal anecdotes from friends who met him out and about. Maybe it had to do with how he was playing st the time idk, but I've never had multiple friends confirm a Clemson football player was a d bag in person when drunk except for him. I trust my friends judgments.

The one story that has stuck with me is him turning up to some fraternity event underage and demanding beer, as he was and yelled out, "Kyle f ing Parker" only to be promptly told no.

I could be wrong, but it's my impression as a Clemson student during the time he was there that he wasn't a good representation of our values.

When you give up $800,000 to play one season at Clemson you can talk trash about Parker. Until then you can ####.

Savage man. If I remember correctly, didn't he get speared a play or 2 before that throw? That whole sequence of that last drive was haunting. Ellington was ramming it down their throat, then an Auburn guy got hurt, play stopped for 5 minutes, KP missed that throw, then the FG debacle. Then watching Awbarn go all the way that year. If we won that game, I think that whole '10 season shakes out differently.

Re: Shows what you know!

Like I posted on the coot board when they were crowing about having a "great" QB with serious "weapons", Kyle Parker had Ellington, Nuk, Jaron Brown and Dwayne Allen- all NFLers. If you've got no line, you've got nothing.

If KP was not speared in the ribs vs Auburn late we would have won that game. Auburn would have missed the NC and I think it would have been a special year. Its amazing how life can go in so many directions based off something so small.
