Knowing your dog ain’t gonna be alive this time next week

Apr 4, 2020, 10:34 AM

is weird and a touch sad. He’s just physically breaking down, can’t get up without help, arthritis since bad in his back and hips he just craps pretty much anywhere without knowing it, etc. So we finally called the vet, and will be taking him in on Thursday. Wife and I are flipping a coin to see who takes him, because one of us has to stay with the kids.

The shame of it is he can’t walk more than 20-30 feet without wanting to lay down cause he’s hurting. So no extravagant adventures for him. Just some hugs and hoping he doesn’t scoot himself back into his #### as he’s trying to get up.

Oh man that sucks. Sounds like y'all are doing the responsible thing even though it hurts like hell to it.
Your buddy has had a good life with y'all. Prayers

we fortunately didn't have to make the call ..Casey died peacefully in our arms our living room floor. Pretty fitting since she was our first baby. anyway, get in as many hugs as you can. He knows you love him. they always do.

Went through this recently, it sucks. Sorry man. Have a nice long chat w the old boy, tell him he’s been a good member of the family and is loved. He’ll understand.

Dogs are everything people wish they could be.

Hate that you're going to lose your friend, but I hope you find some solace in knowing that he won't be hurting anymore. I know for A FACT that if he could do it all over again, he would and then 5 times over.

Thoughts with you, my friend.
