Mel Kiper knows very little in terms of good QBs

This is the guy that wanted to take Matt Barkley No.1 overall and guaranteed that Jimmmy Clausen would be a great NFL QB. Heck he puts Miami's QB over Tajh! That's pathetically stupid.

Eh, as good as Tajh is as a college QB, he needs to

prove that he can be consistently accurate on all of his throws or he's gonna slide some in this draft.
He's been a pretty streaky QB throughout this career. He's as good as anybody when he's on, but he can miss throws really badly when he's off. He's also gonna pay a lot more for overthrowing those balls across the middle and throwing late to the sidelines in the NFL. He's mostly gotten away with that stuff in college, a lot of those will turn into picks in the league.

He'll probably never be high on any draft boards from analysts. He lacks the physical measurables and his accuracy is inconsistent. Those things are 1 and 1a on NFL checklists for QB draft prospects. Probably the only way Boyd gets drafted high is if we win out and a NFL team falls in love with him during interviews because of his leadership and intangibles. Great college QB, but probably won't ever be viewed as a great NFL prospect.

Here is a thought----

Why have Vic Beasley in at RB for short yardage plays or preferably goaline plays since he has RB experience, since he's powerful and quick????

I had reservations about beasley because of his size, but he is an animal on the field, and i like him at DE and am most impressed by a couple of things.
I love the way he tackles qb's, as it reminds me of lawrence taylor. There is something to be said about reaching an arm out and causing a violent collision. when he has a full head of steam its even more beautiful.
His pass breakups show an instinct that looks like he is in perfect control of what he is doing.
personally im glad he is a little light for his position, because if not he has the abilty to put up numbers that make nfl scouts drool. I do not want him to leave early.
