You guys do anything for your SO for valentimes day?

Feb 16, 2015, 10:55 AM

I took the wife and kids to Waffle House for dinner, then Marble Slab. No cards, no flowers.

So I take it that you bought a card and flowers, then.

Feb 16, 2015, 11:21 AM

Good for you. Does she love you more now?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Kinda like birthdays and anniversaries, its not about loving

Feb 16, 2015, 11:23 AM

you more.

Its about not loving you any less.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, bdays and anniversaries are important.

Feb 16, 2015, 11:28 AM

They are specific to your SO. Vday is just good marketing. Spending money =/= love. My wife know this, as she got the kids a small box o chocolates that was on sale at the CVS. That was the extent of it.

Also, we made the sex. A lot. But that didn't have anything to do with the day of the year, it had more to do with the day of the month.

I gave her a facial. She didn't like it.***

Feb 16, 2015, 11:21 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Seems a little ungrateful.

Feb 16, 2015, 11:22 AM

What did she give you?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nothing. Just that same look on her face.

Feb 16, 2015, 11:30 AM

I'll admit, I get her the same gift often, but I like my routine. It's easy, reliable, and the bottom line is that she always gets something as a gift. I don't think she's displeased with it, but she always looks disappointed at first, but then when she actually gets the gift (even though she knows it coming) she looks shocked for about 2-3 seconds and for me, it's all worth that moment. I always try to complement her after the facial. I think her face always looks a little shinier and her pores seemed cleaned out, but she goes right back to giving me the disappointed look again as soon as we connect eyes.

Women. Can't please 'em.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

was it a glazed-over look ?

Feb 16, 2015, 11:33 AM

I get it too
