I'd post it but folks here would cry "Hannity, Carlson, Fox News' and accuse me of C&Ping chain emails I got from a crazy uncle.

Wanna hear the funniest thing about our board dems?

When they is all said and done they will have to either vote for Trump or stay home. Among all those here who give us chit about supporting Trump their might be two who would actually vote for a socialist.
They enjoy the game but they aren't socialist.

I hate to tell you this, but no.
Anybody the Dems run out will likely beat Trump. I know you Trump guys live in your own little bubble but what I'm seeing out there in the world - especially among younger voters under 40 - is a deep, deep, deep disaffection with Trump. The young really don't like Trump and they aren't scared of "socialism" because they simply don't watch Fox News. Once you get out of the Fox bubble the word "socialism" simply isn't scary and plenty of younger voters are latching onto it; it's what hip and trendy Europeans do for government, right?
Mind, I personally think socialism would be a disaster implemented here - America has deep, deep, deep capitalistic cultural roots and we certainly don't have the thin population densities or cash reserves of the Scandanavian countries that have really made it work - Norway's socialism, for instance, is heavily underwritten by Statoil, the country's nationalized oil monopoly - and a $1 trillion dollar sovereign wealth fund, per capita the world's largest; we're in the hole almost $20 trillion.
The problem, though, is that Bernie is a gruff but ultimately likable and avuncular character, and he cut his teeth on the nasty union clashes of the '70's and '80's. He doesn't intimidate and he certainly is not afraid to wade into a bunch of working-class folks and start yelling at them. And Oh Man, can Bernie yell, the dude doesn't even need a microphone...and at the end of it these dyed-in-the-wool workin' men end up as Fight the Man enthusiasts all ready to storm the capitalist castle. He'll go on Fox, he'll go to the Deep South, the man does not care and he is perfectly aware that a poor working stiff is a potential recruit for what he's selling because Bernie is perfectly correct that Corporate America is largely to blame for that man's ills. Socialism is historically a viral concept and the young in America simply aren't immunized to it.
Warren wants to reform that corrupt mess but keep capitalism. Bernie wants to displace it and the fact of the matter is, if you're not a Boomer, the American Dream probably died for you before you were born...and that makes you wide open for what he's peddling. But both are correct that we're in another Gilded Age and Trump almost personifies it. Populism works both ways.
If you continue to ignore that reality, and how disaffected the Millenials and Gen Z are getting, you simply haven't been out of your conservative bubble. Make fun of Greta Thunberg at your peril; there's a reason her Twitter following is absolutely insane.
