As things progressed today I found myself watching Kelly on the sideline as much as the play on the field. I noticed fairly quickly that he was never around any of the other players while on the sidelines. No one was talking to him. He was not talking to anyone. He was alone. As he became more frustrated with the day it got even more evident. Only after the big confrontation with the coaches did I see JayJay goofing around with him trying to get him out of his crappy mood. It seems that Chad Kelly has a long way to go just to be respected by his teammates and coaches. I hope someone in his life has the ability to get him 'right'.
I took my son to the stands above the locker rooms at the end of the game. Thought it was odd that Kelly was the first player to the locker room - by a large margin. My 7 year old even said - what's wrong with him?
