A quote yesterday from his presser:
"We're tired of hearing about everybody else," Evans said. "We're tired of hearing about UNC, Miami, Clemson, Louisville, etc. Those are great teams, don't get me wrong. ... But at the same time, we feel like we should be mentioned in those categories with those guys. So every week we have a statement we want to make."
Newsflash Justin, you've played a total of 2 games in the ACC. No one is going to crown you champions after that. Also, Va Tech got smoked by an average Tenneseee team.

I don't see what's wrong with that. Playing with a chip on your shoulder can be a great motivator. We used it last year often.

He's been in the league for a total of 2 games.
There is a reason you hear so much about Clemson. You don't arrive after winning two conference games.

Agree 100%. What's he supposed to say. There was a time a couple years ago where a young Dabo Sweeney championed for us every chance he got to get us into the conversation. I don't blame him. Also, then being good is great for the conference as a whole. 6 teams in the top 25, the from each division is a great thing, period.

He inherited arguably the worst team in college football with zero recruiting and zero fan base and in a couple of years took them to back to back 10 and 11 win seasons. There's a reason he got the tech job.

makes them relevant? Seriously? It's a start, but they have a long way to go. If Fuentes is trying to pump up his team, fine, whatever... but talk is cheap. They got smoked by an overrated, average UT team. Other than UNC, their wins are against garbage teams. Not a lot there to build a case for relevance, at least not yet.

He's also done an incredible job with that roster. This is a team that struggled to score 20 pts last year and theyve dismantled their two ACC opponents this year. Crushing UNC yesterday was impressive.
