Numbers: Miami Clemson 15' & 17'

Nov 14, 2017, 4:44 PM

I hear so much talk about how good this Miami team is. How we're not going to run over them because it's different teams. Not so fast...

23 current Clemson players made the trip, and played Miami in 2015.

4 started if i'm correct: Hyatt, Crowder, Wilkins, and Bryant played most of game bc Shaq Lawsons hit on Kaaya.

Kelly B played most 2nd half, and Van Smith had a pick.

15 Current Miami players witnessed a "young team" come down and beat the crap out them.

2 started if i'm correct: LT Trevor Darling and RT K.C. McDermott < ya gotta love this
*Walton and Rozier played entire 2nd half. = 0 points
I say all that to say this: MIAMI, we're COMING. You know who owns you.

When abbreviating years, the apostrophe goes in front of the number. An apostrophe after the number is an abbreviation for feet.

I for one am glad you pointed that out, because I read the post thinking I was going to find out which team was 15 feet and which was 17 feet and why.

Are you trying to say that the 2015 game has some bearing

Nov 15, 2017, 9:40 AM

on the 2017 game? Sorry, but that's ridiculous. If Al Golden was still coaching Miami, the Canes would be 5-5 right now.

If Al Golden was still coaching the team I'd be dead in a murder-suicide by now.

Our seniors certainly remember the beatdown in 2015. But I don't think this team is anything like that one. They certainly won't quit like they did then. I expect a nailbiter.

As of today, Miami is #2 in sacks and #2 tackles for loss. Clemson is #1 & #8 respectively.

Clemson’s 4th in strength of schedule; Miami is 21st.

But Miami’s total defense is #34, Clemson is #8. They’re neck-in-neck in total offense.

Defense will win this game for us. We just need the one that got off the bus for the Auburn game and not the one we saw against NC State & Syracuse! GO TIGERS!
