Just read an article that stated clemson loses recruits to

sec schools because the sec schools sell their conference to the recruits. They referenced a few names in this article. To the SEC biased morons who wrote this here are a few facts.
Mike Williams Clemson over Sakerlina
Scott Pagano Clemson over Bama and Lsu
OGundeko Clemson over the Gaytors

Clemson doesn't have to sell a conference. It is a great football school with a great academic reputation. I had a coot tell me he doesn't understand how we get great recruits without being in the SEC. This guy was actually a teacher and a football coach. After laughing at him for several minutes, I explained to him that we are a stand-alone program, and don't have to hide behind a conference shield. He chanted SEC-SEC and walked away.

You don't have to make up some fake story to make fun of them. They are easy targets just because of who they are and what they value, you don't need a fabricated story to prove that.

sell their conference - you don't doubt that, do you?
I agree that Clemson has many wonderful things to offer, and that we have regularly beat out SEC schools, year after year, for big recruits. We'll do it again this year. However, it won't be because kids want to play in the ACC - it will be because they want to come to Clemson.
That doesn't mean that the premise of the article is not correct - it is. SEC schools, when recruiting against Clemson or other non-SEC schools, sell the conference to a lot of kids, and a lot of kids buy into it, right or wrong. It is an advantage for them.

that they name the kids who choose an sec school over clemson. But they never mention the guys that we beat the sec on year in and year out.

team say we didn't draft him because he played in The ACC or we drafted him because he played in the SEC. The NFL will draft a player in the first round from PC if he is the best player they don't who he played for or against. A lot of the OL in the NFL come out of the MAC, QB also.

are Alabama, when you have to rely on trying to sell your conference over selling your school or coaches then either you are inferior to CLEMSON or there is a deeper rooted problem!!!!
